LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Lincoln University track and field team returned to action for the first time in three weeks to compete at the Rowan University Fast Times meet this past weekend.
Sophomore Glenn Butler, Jr. (Greenburgh, N.Y./White Plains) (Greenburgh, N.Y./White Plains) posted the only event victory for the Lions, winning the long jump with a mark of 2.03 meters.
Freshman Da'Avionce Rodriguez (Lancaster, Pa. /J.P. McCaskey) (Lancaster, Pa./J.P. McCaskey) continued to improve on his sprint times, posting season-best times in the 100-meter dash (10.86 seconds) and the 200-meter dash (22.26 seconds).
In other sprint news, La'Cendria Pulley (Essex, Md./Baltimore PolyTech) had her best finish of the season, placing second in the 100 with the season-low time of 12.63 seconds. Jameria Pantoon-Whitehead (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bishop Loughlin) posted the only other top-10 finish, placing sixth in the 400 meters (1:03.69).
Freshman Serena Johnson (Manchester, Conn./Prince Tech) (Manchester, Conn./Prince Tech) placed 14th in the discus (31.70 meters) and 11th in the shot put (10.29 meters), while sophomore Keyana Brooks (Philadelphia, Pa./Hopewell Valley Central (N.J.)) (Philadelphia, Pa./Hopewell Valley Central (N.J.)) was 10th in the shot put (10.31 meters) and 15th in the discus (30.40 meters).
