Mosley resigns, accepts position at UD

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. - Lincoln University Head Women's Basketball Darrell Mosley has resigned his position as Head Women's Basketball Coach and has accepted an assistant coaching position at the University of Delaware.

A Lincoln University graduate, Mosley finished his LU coaching career with 82 victories – 13 away from the school's all-time record. He has guided the Lions to three straight seasons with a win over a Division I team.

In the 2019-20 season, the program's last full season, Mosley led the Lions to a school-record 23 victories in the 2019-20 season. He was named the CIAA Coach of the Year, and was a finalist for the WHoopDirt.com National Coach of the Year.
Mosley led the Lions to the CIAA Tournament semifinals in three of the last four seasons and has won at least 17 games in three straight seasons. The team posted a .500 record or better in the CIAA during four of his five seasons in the league.

"It's bittersweet to lose a person like Darrell," said Stinson. "He was more than just a coach for us. He is championship-level coach, an alum and one of the ambassadors for our athletics program as we build a championship culture. He will be missed and we wish him the best in his future endeavors at the University of Delaware."

Prior to his six-year stint as the head women's basketball coach, Mosley spent five seasons as an assistant coach on the men's team. While on the staff, Lincoln recorded its lone 20-win season since returning to Division II and claimed the CIAA North crown.
