27 student-athletes honored by D2 ADA

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. - Twenty-seven Lincoln University student-athletes were honored by the Division II Athletic Director Association (D2 ADA) with the Academic Achievement Award, the organization announced recently.

Women's Track and Field led the way with eight honorees, while women's soccer and women's basketball had four honorees each. Baseball and volleyball had three recipients, while softball, football, and men's track & field had two apiece. Men's basketball had one honoree.

The Academic Achievement awards is a program that recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes in Division II and has been around for the past 14 years.

For student-athletes to receive this award the Athletics Director must be a current-dues paying member, the student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher, have attended a minimum of two years of college work, and have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her last academic year.
