Deilia M. McLaughlin is a Philadelphia native. Ms. McLaughlin is a child welfare advocate, activist, leader, and scholar. She is a social worker by degree and profession, where she has worked in the field of social services for over 2 decades; primarily in the protection, social wellbeing, and development of children and youth. Ms. McLaughlin’s most recent work has centered around ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) and building trauma informed systems of care; where she actively uses a trauma informed and focused lens to advocate for children and youth.
Ms. McLaughlin’s knowledge and practice focuses on assessment and evaluation, program development and implementation, and project management. Her expertise includes supervision and management experience in both the public and private sectors.
In addition to social service delivery, she provides professional development to other professionals for the state of Pennsylvania through the PA Child Welfare Resource Center (PACWRC).
Educational Background: Lincoln University '03 with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. Bryn Mawr College with a Masters in Social Science.
