LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. - The Lincoln University football team welcomes Elizabeth City State University 1 p.m. Saturday for Homecoming at Coatesville Area Senior High School.

SERIES HISTORY
Lincoln trails the overall series 1-11 with its only victory coming in 2018, a 21-20 win for the 2018 Homecoming.

THE LAST MEETING
Dah'mear Triplett tied a school record with three touchdown catches as the Lincoln University football team lost at Elizabeth City State University, 34-18, on October 20, 2019 at Roebuck Stadium.
Triplett's three touchdown receptions ties a modern era program record set by Kestor Lewis against JCSU in 2012 and equaled twice by Akeem Jordan against Cheyney in 2013 and 2014. The freshman receiver finished the game with six catches for 74 yards.
On the defensive side, Devon Cathcart (Chicago, Ill./Thornton Fractional South) led all players with eight tackles while Kyle Wilkins (Dickerson, Md./Poolesville) added six. The Lions got sacks from Solomon Bassett, Sadique Moore (Philadelphia, Pa./Mastery Charter), and Vaughn Diggs (Fort Washington, Md./Friendly).
THE LAST GAME
For the ninth straight game, and all six games this season, the Lincoln Lions came up with an interception, but LU fell to Virginia Union Saturday, 32-0, at Hovey Field.
Five different players finished the game with five tackles, including Rontay Dunbar (Brooklyn, N.Y. /Freedom) – who added the aforementioned interception with three pass breakups. Senior Devon Cathcart (Chicago, Ill./Thornton Fractional South) added 1.5 tackles for loss and a sack, while Kentrell Pierce (Calumet City, Ill./Harold Richards) added 1.5 tackles for loss and a pair of pass breakups. Freshman Kamar Green (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter) and Derrick McCoy (Bridgeton, N.J. /Bridgeton) also had a tackle for loss.
Running back Elijah Snell (Brooklyn, N.Y./Erasmus Hall) led the way with 57 yards rushing on 12 attempts, while quarterback Andrew Banks (Atlanta, Ga. /Mays) had 10 carries for 56 yards. The quarterback tandem of Banks and junior Trae Greene (Willingboro, N.J. /Willingboro) combined to throw for 56 yards on 7-of-21 passing with one interception and was sacked nine
SMOOTH CRIMINALS
The Lincoln defense has recorded an interception in each of the first six games and enters this contest with eight picks total. Seven different players - Eric Best (Burlington, N.J. /Burlington), Rontay Dunbar (Brooklyn, N.Y. /Freedom), Roosevelt Jordan (Shamong, N.J./Seneca), Devon Cathcart (Chicago, Ill./Thornton Fractional South), Jesse Jackson (Washington, D.C./Dunbar), Andre Williams (Philadelphia, Pa./Neumann-Goretti), and Khaleb McRae (Willingboro, N.J./Willingboro) - all have an interception on the season.
The eight interceptions are tied for the CIAA lead with ECSU and Virginia Union.
SIGNAL CALLERS
For the second straight game, two quarterbacks have played for the Lions as the Lincoln offense searches for some balance to its offense.
Freshman Andrew Banks (Atlanta, Ga. /Mays) and junior Trae Greene (Willingboro, N.J. /Willingboro) have both taken snaps for the Lions. Banks is 47-of-89 (52.8 percent) for 419 yards and four interceptions. Greene is completing 36.8 percent of his passes (7-of-19) for 68 yards.
SHARING THE LOAD
Injuries have played a huge part in the constant shuffling of the room as Elijah Snell (Brooklyn, N.Y./Erasmus Hall), who was the sixth on the depth chart to start the season, is currently the top option.
Snell lead the team with 151 yards on 36 carries, while Ahman Foster-Powell (Henrico, Va./Highland Springs) is still second on the team - despite missing nearly three games - with 75 yards on 28 carries.
Junior Samuel Jordan (Shamong, N.J./Seneca) moved from the defensive backfield to carry the ball six times for 18 yards against Virginia Union.
ROCKING THE CREDLE
Junior receiver Michael Credle, Jr. (Bear, Del./Glasgow) leads the team with 19 receptions for 148 yards through four games. Rashon Cooke (Sharon Hill, Pa./Lower Merion) has seven catches for 96 yards, while Drew Stephens (Newark, N.J. /Abraham Clark) is third on the team with five receptions for 85 yards.
MILITARY ACADEMIES
Lincoln's football roster has four new players that have spent time at Military Prep Schools. Quarterback Andrew Banks (Atlanta, Ga. /Mays) and defensive lineman Darius Sterling (South Chesterfield, Va./Thomas Dale) hail from Fork Union Military Academy, while offensive lineman Shawn Kemmerer (Columbia, Pa./Columbia) and receiver Shannon Squire (North Philadelphia, Pa. /Kensington Creative and Performing Arts) spent time at Valley Forge Military Academy.
SEEING DOUBLE
Two sets of twins will line up for the Lions this season in defensive linemen Evan and Elliot Chavous, and defensive backs Roosevelt and Samuel Bryant (Tucker, Ga. /Tucker).
WELCOME TO COATESVILLE
Due to construction delays, the first four Lincoln University football games will be moved to Coatesville Area High School. The next home game will be 1 p.m. October 16 against Elizabeth City State for Homecoming.

This far, Lincoln is responsible for 8,000 meals as Devon Cathcart (Chicago, Ill./Thornton Fractional South) leads the team with four sacks and Derrick McCoy (Bridgeton, N.J. /Bridgeton) has two sacks. Mike Johnson (Edgewood, Md./Edgewood) and Makhai Beasley (Washington, D.C. /McKinley Tech) also has a sack for the Lions.
