WSOC loses to Bridgeport

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa.  – The Lincoln University women's soccer team fell to Bridgeport Saturday, 12-2, in East Coast Conference action in Bridgeport, CT.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Bridgeport scored six goals in the first half and six more in the second half.
  • Lincoln got a pair of second-half goals.
  • Senior Kenya Davis (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Osseo) scored her first goal of the season, while freshman Parker Moss (Elmira, N.Y. /Elmira) registered her first assist.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

  • Bridgeport held the 41-5 advantage in shots and 26-5 in shots on goal.
  • Moss was the only player with multiple shots.
  • Freshman Saige Samuels (Laurel, Md. /Paint Branch) finished with 14 saves for the Lions.
  • Lincoln's first goal was an own goal via a defensive miscue.
  • The two goals tied for a season-high for Lincoln this season.

WHAT'S NEXT

  • Lincoln concludes the season with a two-game swing to New York. The Lions travel to Buffalo, NY to face D'Youville Thursday and then to Rochester to play Roberts Wesleyan Saturday.
