LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – For the first time at Lincoln University, the graduating class chose to establish a fund to support students who need financial assistance as the traditional senior class gift to the university. More than 150 students who were in good financial standing signed a statement authorizing the application or commitment fee they paid upon entering the university to be kept to help future students.
More than 400 students donned their caps and gowns to process through the heart of Lincoln University’s campus and turn their tassels becoming graduates during the 158th Commencement.

Catherine and Maria both majored in human services with a minor in criminal justice. Lincoln University announced today that Roger W. Ferguson, Jr., the president and chief executive officer of TIAA, will give the 158th Commencement address on May 12 and will receive an honorary doctorate along with Kenneth E. Scott, the president and chief executive officer of Beech Companies.
