Luncheon Banquet Presentation by Molefi Kete Asante will take place September 18, 2016 at 12:30 p.m, location 3020 Market Street. The presentation topic will be Continued Challenges for Establishing the United States of Africa.  

Professor Asante is Chair and Professor, Department of African American Studies at Temple University. 

In the Fall of 1984 Dr. Asante became chair of the African American Studies Program at Temple University where he created the first Ph.D. Program in African American Studies in 1987.

There are three principal research themes of the Molefi Kete Asante Institute (MKA Institute): (1) Combating all forms of oppression, (2) establishing the basis for an African Renaissance on the African continent and in the African diaspora, and (3) promoting efforts for national and international peace and harmony.
