The Langston Hughes Memorial Library is proud to partner with the Horace Mann Bond Honors Program to participate in a read-out for the National Banned Books Week. The read-out will be the central feature for Banned Books Week at Langston Hughes Memorial Library. Students, faculty and staff are invited to participate by reading a passage from their favorite banned book that have been banned and or challenged anywhere in the world . After the passage is read we will take a few minutes to discuss the passage and a bit of the history behind why the book was banned or challenged.
