2019 Lincoln Football Pride Camp

Students in grades 9th through 12th are invited  to register to attend Coach Dean's Lion Pride Camp, a skills camp lead by college coaches, on Friday, July 9, 2019 here at Lincoln University main campus. Onilne registration is encouraged and the deadline is Thursday, July 18, 2019. Camp fee is $65. Registration also takes place the morning of the event, starting at 8:00 a.m.

2020 Day of Silence

A Day of Silence is an annual day of action to spread awareness about the effects of the bullying and harassment of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning students. Students take a day-long vow of silence on Friday, April 17, 2020 to symbolically represent the silencing of LGBTQ students. 

2020 Denim Day

Denim Day will take place on Wednesday, April 29, 2019. It is an event in which people are encouraged to wear jeans to raise awareness of rape and sexual assault.

2019 A Light in the Window

Observed annually throughout the month of October, the Light in the Window Campaign signifies community solidarity toward ending domestic violence across the state by organizing a widespread display of purple-lit, electric candles in the windows of residences, businesses, public buildings, schools/universities, hospitals, churches, etc. This is an all-day observance.

Langston Hughes Playwright Workshop: Character, Story and Scene

Al Simpkins & The Bushfire Theater of Performing Arts will host the Langston Hughes Playwright Workshop: Character, Story and Scene. The workshops are open to faculty, staff and especially students. Nightly readings are open to the LU community at 7 p.m. in the ICC. Free admission.

Learn how to turn your creative idea into a script. This workshop focuses on the craft of writing a stage play. Emphasis is on internal and external traits needed to build character, scene building and writing emotionally exciting dialogue.
