Eight Students To Accompany Musical Ambassadors of The Armed Forces

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA – The United States Army Field Band and Soldier’s Chorus, known as the Musical Ambassadors of the Army, will perform Sunday, March 16 at Lincoln’s Manuel Rivero Hall Gymnasium at 5 p.m.The concert, which is free and open-to-the-public, marks this year’s third Lincoln-sponsored musical arts event featuring nationally-recognized talent for the student body and community-at-large.

Nationally-Recognized Historian Merrill Keynotes Closing Symposium for Lincoln’s Global Heritage & Legacy Grant

THE LINCOLN UNIVERSITY – The closing symposium for the two year NEH “The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania’s Global Heritage and legacy” grant will be held this Thursday, March 6 and Friday, March 7 in the International Cultural Center.

The grant has been administered by faculty Co-Directors, Dr. Chieke Ihejirika, Associate Professor of Political Science, and Dr. Marilyn D. Button, Professor of English.

THE LINCOLN UNIVERSITY APPOINTS POPE AS NEW ATHLETICS DIRECTOR

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA – The Lincoln University appointed Dr. Darryl A. Pope, the current Director of Athletics and Physical Activity at the College of Lake College in Grayslake, IL, as its new Director of Athletics.

Dr. Pope will join Lincoln on March 31, 2014.

“We are excited to have Dr. Pope join us,” said President Dr. Robert R. Jennings.  “He has more than 20 years of progressive supervisory and managerial experience along with demonstrated leadership qualities in directing athletic programs and proven compliance experience.”

Statement from the University Regarding Recent Vandalism

This morning, Lincoln University Administration learned of racially-disparaging and offensive graffiti spray-painted on its northwest corner entrance sign.  The University’s Public Safety officers discovered the vandalism at 1:50 a.m. and immediately began efforts to correct the damage.
