LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA ~ Lincoln University President Ivory V. Nelson announced that Kathleen J. Butler Hayes, a 1989 graduate, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees as an alumni representative. Her term on the university’s governing board expires in 2010.

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA ~ Jesse Epps, an advisor to slain civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., will speak at Lincoln University on Thursday, February 21 at 4 p.m. in the Mary Dod Brown Memorial Chapel, a program in celebration of Black History Month.
The English and Mass Communications Department in the School of Humanities and Graduate Studies is sponsoring Mr. Epps’s appearance at the university.

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA ~ President Ivory V. Nelson has announced a $25,450 gift from the Consortium of Information and Telecommunications Executives (CITE), a national nonprofit organization representing African American employees and retirees of Verizon. The gift will be used to fund academic scholarships.
