Safety Policy
It is the policy of Lincoln University to provide a safe and healthy environment for its students, staff and visitors. It is the intent of the University to comply with all occupational health, safety and fire regulations and recommended practices—serious attempts will be made to minimize recognizable hazards.
Compliance with this policy is the responsibility of the entire university community. We are all accountable for the health and safety of students, as well as our own safety.
Individuals in supervisory positions must insist that students and employees comply with health and safety rules and perform all work in a safe manner. Promotion of a positive attitude towards health and safety will help us to promote an environment that is conductive to higher learning.
Students, faculty, and staff must understand that it is their individual responsibility to follow the health and safety rules issued by the University, their departments and their supervisors.
We must recognize that failure to follow health and safety rules may lead to sanctions as outlined in the Lincoln University Code of Conduct, disciplinary actions for employees and legal actions pursuant to local, state and federal authority.
More importantly, failure to follow health and safety regulations could lead to serious injury to a member of the Lincoln University community.
