The Amalgamated Change Administration would like to update you on what we have done during the month of June
 

Policy reform/initiatives 

Staying updated with the Covid-19 social responsibility task force and keeping students updated on changes happening within the university to ensure a safe fall semester. 
“Keeping up with the senate” successfully led a virtual application process for the new 2020-2021 senators  
 

Social action/advocacy

  • Black lives matter advocacy through participation in blackout Tuesday and hosting a town hall “where do we go from here” to hear student concerns and discuss action steps we need to take towards injustice. 
  • Virtually educated students on absentee voting for the June 2nd primaries 
  • “For Us By Us” campaign for the renewal of Dr. Allen's contract, including video series and press release to continuously update students on the status of Dr. Allen’s presidency 
  • SGA x Generation Action Black Trans Matter Bingo to raise money for the Okra Project in support of Pride Month and the Black Transgender lives that were tragically lost.

The Amalgamated Change Administration would like to update you on what we have done during the month of August
 

Policy reform/initiatives 

  • Staying updated with the Covid-19 social responsibility task force and keeping students updated on changes happening within the university to ensure a safe fall semester. 
  • “Keeping up with the senate” successfully led a virtual application process for the new 2020-2021 senators  
  • Successfully led a virtual campaign and interview process to choose the new SGA interns and class board officers.
  • Remote learning request form policy enforced to help ensure students pursuing virtual learning have that reflected upon their Webadvisor bills. 
  • Dr. Allen reinstatement as Lincoln’s University president effective immediately after a court order 

Social action/advocacy

  • (8/3/20) Student advocacy - Town hall meeting with Dr. Allen to create solutions toward the crisis that we have been facing. 
  • (8/14/20) Student advocacy - “So... What’s up?” The Student Senate demanded answers from administration and faculty in an emergency meeting. 
  • (8/29/20) Social advocacy - HBCU march of the generations: “Demand For Us! Demand By Us!”
  • Support economically disadvantaged kids, support HBCU students, build the highschool to HBCU pipeline
