Students Study Entrepreneurship in a New Environment

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA — Five Lincoln University students attended the Polytechnic Institute of Namibia, where they studied Strategic Management and Business in southern Africa. The chair of the Lincoln University Business and Information Technology Center of Excellence, Dr. Oswald Richards lectured a course as well.

While in the program, Stephanie Clervoyant, Jalil Fayson, Rebecca Parker, Danielle Rumph, John Scott gained knowledge from Namibian professors and executives from corporate, government and non-governmental organizations.

Lincoln University Students and Professor Attend the Conn-Selmer Institute at Notre Dame University

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA – With the excitement of being led and taught by renowned professional music educators, five Lincoln University students flew to South Bend, Indiana to attend the Conn-Selmer Institute.

The Conn-Selmer Institute (CSI) provides an educational center, ongoing reference source, and support network for the professional growth of music educators.  It also supports college students entering the music education field as they bridge the gap between their university training and their first professional experiences.

San Francisco Giants Retire Irvin’s Number

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa.  — Former Lincoln University three-sport athlete Monte Irvin has been away from baseball for years, but he was enshrined once more for his contributions to a team and a sport he helped revolutionize.

Saturday at AT&T Park in San Francisco, the Giants retired Irvin’s No. 20, becoming the 11th jersey retired by one of baseball’s most iconic clubs.

Educational Advancement Alliance, Inc. Grants Funding To Lincoln University Program

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA — Lincoln University received a $56,000.00 grant from the Educational Advancement Alliance, Inc. to continue its 11th year of the Summer Transportation Institute (STI).

President and CEO of the Educational Advancement Alliance Inc., Karen Nicholas ’79 was the primary sponsor of the Lincoln University 2010 Summer Transportation Institute, which is permitting 16 middle school students to be enrolled in this year’s program.

Lincoln University Conducts Another Successful Golf Outing

The outing was sponsored by Exelon Corporations; Fulton Bank; J. F. Sobieski, Inc.; Thompson, Cobb, Brazilio & Associates, LLP; and Blank Rome, LLP. The University had nearly 40 participants including University President, Ivory V. Nelson. The University raised almost $15,000 for its endowed scholarship program, which aides students in their matriculation through the University.
