CAREER SERVICES TO HOLD ANNUAL FAIR; EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES ABOUND

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA ~ The Office of Career Services of Development and External Relations at Lincoln University will hold its annual Career Fair on Thursday, March 13 in Manuel Rivero Hall.

According to Ralph Simpson, director of Career Services, the Career Fair is an event that provides students as well as other internal and external constituents of the university the opportunity to interact with key individuals from business and industry, education and government.

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY TO HOLD TWO-DAY BEEP CONFERENCE

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA ~ The Department of Business and Information Technology at Lincoln University in conjunction with the National Urban League will hold its annual Black Executive Exchange Program (BEEP) on March 3-4 in Dickey Hall.

The conference is free and open to all students.

James Jordan, a graduate of Lincoln University and president of Omega QSE, Inc., will be the featured speaker at a banquet on March 3 at 6 p.m. in the Faculty Dining Hall in the Thurgood Marshall Living and Learning Center.

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY RECEIVES $100,000 DONATION FROM ALUMNUS TO ESTABLISH SCHOLARSHIP FUND

 Chapman W Bouldin Jr.LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA ~ Lincoln University President Ivory V. Nelson has announced a $100,000 donation from alumnus Dr. Chapman W. Bouldin, Jr. to establish the Chapman and Ann Bouldin Endowed Scholarship Fund in honor of his parents.

Dr. Bouldin, the valedictorian for the class of 1959, becomes the second alumnus within a year to donate that sum of money to the university.

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY APPOINTS GRADUATE KATHLEEN HAYES TO BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Kathleen J. Butler HayesLINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA ~ Lincoln University President Ivory V. Nelson announced that Kathleen J. Butler Hayes, a 1989 graduate, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees as an alumni representative. Her term on the university’s governing board expires in 2010.

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY TO FEATURE ADMIRED CIVIL RIGHTS LEADER AT BLACK HISTORY MONTH PROGRAM

Jesse EppsLINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA ~ Jesse Epps, an advisor to slain civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., will speak at Lincoln University on Thursday, February 21 at 4 p.m. in the Mary Dod Brown Memorial Chapel, a program in celebration of Black History Month.

The English and Mass Communications Department in the School of Humanities and Graduate Studies is sponsoring Mr. Epps’s appearance at the university.
