PRESIDENT NELSON RECEIVES EDUCATION LEADERSHIP AWARD

Nelson has received the The Education Leadership Award presented by the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund (TMSF) on Monday, October 23 in New York, home of the national organization created to provide financial assistance to students attending public historically black colleges and universities.

Nationwide Bus Tour Stops in Chester County, PA: Get Tested for HIV at Lincoln University

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA. – Operation: Get Tested Presentation will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Student Union Building at Lincoln University on Oct. 19 at 7 p.m.  Operation:  Get Tested provides youths with an opportunity to get tested free of charge.  Lincoln University students are encouraged to get tested during this event.

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY TO HOST BOOK SERIES:“LET’S TALK ABOUT IT: JEWISH LITERATURE”

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA. – Lincoln University will host the second of a five-part book reading and discussion series on Jewish literature on Sunday, October 22 at 3 p.m. in the Langston Hughes Memorial Library.

Funded in part by a Pennsylvania Humanities Council grant, the series explores the themes of estrangement and homecoming. Drexel University professor Dr. Emilie Passow will lead the discussion.

Large Crowd of Prospective Students Expected To Attend Fall Open House At Lincoln University

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA. - (September 2006) ~ Lincoln University will hold its annual Fall Open House at Manuel Rivero Hall Gymnasium at 9 a.m. on Friday, October 20, 2006.

Organized by the Office of Admissions, Open House is an event that provides an opportunity for prospective students and their parents or guardians to meet with university faculty, staff, and students and to gain firsthand information about the university’s academic programs and extracurricular activities.

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY CONFERS DEGREES TO 430 GRADUATES

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA. - Pennsylvania lawmaker Dwight Evans told Lincoln University graduates to give of themselves without expecting a reward at the institution’s 147th commencement Sunday.

Lincoln conferred degrees to 430 undergraduate and graduate students on a balmy afternoon as a crowd of about 7,000 listened to the veteran Pennsylvania lawmaker and loudly cheered the graduates when their names were called to receive their degrees.

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY’S BOARD VOTES TO ENHANCE STUDENT-LIFE OPPORTUNITIES BY ADDING FOOTBALL AND MARCHING BAND

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA. - The Lincoln University Board of Trustees moved Saturday in a significant way to enhance the quality and vitality of student life on the campus.

The Board voted to revive the football program, establish a marching and pep band and authorized President Ivory V. Nelson to petition for membership in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), where it is a charter member.
