Office of Faculty Affairs

Overview

The Office of Faculty Affairs (OFA) supports faculty members at all ranks throughout their careers at Lincoln University. The office provides continued support to faculty, ranging from recruitment to retirement for skill development, personal growth, and career advancement. The OFA partners with university administration and academic departments in order to engage in activities and processes to effectively recruit, appoint, and retain exceptional faculty to transcend academic excellence across the academy.

The office handles all administrative matters relating to the faculty, including faculty contracts, faculty development grants, onboarding of new faculty, and compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

Mission

The Office of Faculty Affairs is committed to supporting the diverse needs of the faculty in coordination with the university’s dedication to the development of students through excellence in teaching. To accomplish this, our office works collaboratively:

  • with faculty and administrators to manage matters related to faculty appointments, promotions, tenure, and sabbatical;
  • with the Center for Excellence in Teaching & Learning (CETL) in the creation of innovative programs to assist faculty in continuing to improve their teaching, research, and scholarly clinical or creative work;
  • and with the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) for grant and contract development to ensure implementation of national best practices in faculty affairs.
