Sexual Violence, Prevention and Education

The Lincoln University Coordinated Community Response Team (CCRT) and Peer Educators are committed to keeping campus safe by delivering effective, comprehensive, and coordinated strategies to reduce sexual violence and improve the institution’s response to these crimes, as well as specifically address the University policies and programs dedicated to prevention, reduction and management of violence in the areas of domestic/dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, and gender-based violence.

In CCRT’s prevention work, the team collaborates with departments and student organizations on campus to foster and promote individual and collective action to reduce sexual and interpersonal violence.

Peer Educators

The Peer Educator program consists of five students who are recruited to collaborate with organizations on campus to conduct educational programs and to provide outreach in residence halls.

Peer Educators are assigned to a freshman residence hall where they will be on duty to

  • Provide information and resources to students,
  • Conduct monthly educational programs and
  • Respond and refer students who are victims of sexual assault, domestic and dating violence and stalking.

Prevention Educators will work in collaboration with prevention staff to facilitate prevention programming and evaluation; develop social media and marketing strategies; and curate prevention content and materials.
