The Sexual Violence Prevention and Education Program invites the Orange and Blue to wear denim on Wednesday, April 24th, 2019 in observance of National Denim Day. Wear jeans with a purpose, support survivors, and educate yourself and others about all forms of sexual violence. #ProtectThePride

The Sexual Violence Prevention and Education Program has teamed up with Spectrum Student Organization to observe Day of Silence on Friday, April 12th, 2019. The event is a student-led national event where folks take a vow of silence to highlight the silencing and erasure of LGBTQ people at school. We will hold a silent protest from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the LLC Dining Hall.

RAINN Day is an opportunity for college students to demonstrate to their peers that they are an ally in the fight against sexual violence. The RAINN Day hashtag #LetsGetLoud is a call to action that reminds us that we can make a difference on college campuses about sexual assault when we work together. Unite with us in action at the bottom of the U on Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

The Sexual Violence Prevention and Education Program will be turning our Orange and Blue spirit teal as we take action to help end acts of sexual violence by wearing teal on Tuesday, April 2, 2019. We are asking those who can to meet us at 1 p.m. outside the main entrance of the Student Union Building (SUB) in your teal to honor survivors and take a picture of unity in the area by the steps.

The Women's Conference is a power-packed day of workshops and sessions designed to energize and invigorate you — giving you new ideas and strategies to achieve and succeed according to your goals and standards. Our keynote speaker is sexual assault activist, IN FOCUS talk show host and WITN22 news anchor/journalist Yesenia Taveras, a graduate of Morgan State University. The conference will honor the 2019 women's history month theme, Visionary Women: Champions of Peace and Nonviolence. This event is a collaboration with the LU Women's Initiative.
