Two Lions Baseball Players Honored by the CIAA

Congratulations to Lion baseball team members Ronald Lashley (Brooklyn, NY/Benjamin Banneker Academy) and Julian Bradshaw (Brooklyn, NY/Brooklyn Generation HS) for being honored by the CIAA. For the first time in five years Lincoln has two members of its baseball team honored as one of the best in the CIAA Conference for the 2016 season.Ronald Lashley (Brooklyn, NY/Benjamin Banneker Academy) a junior-computer science major was named to the All-CIAA Second Team.

Graduating nursing students receive their pins

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Nine graduating nursing students in the class of 2016 participated in the annual Baccalaureate in Nursing Ceremony on April 23.

The pinning ceremony, which is a time-honored nursing school tradition, signifies the participants’ official initiation into the brotherhood and sisterhood of nurses. 

Among those pinned were: Khalilah Shoatz, Megan Grove, Darlene Moody, Ayanna Sangster, Liza Nyakondo, Ashley Ellis, Tiana Robb,  Ayana Stewart and Hafeeza Malik.

University Professor to Publish Scholarly Book

Cambridge Scholars Publishing will publish Memory and The Poetics of Remembering, a collection of essays edited by Abbes Maazaoui, Professor in the Department of Languages and Literature, at Lincoln University.

Lincoln professor leads Black relationships and sexuality conference

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Four Lincoln University professors will present their research at an upcoming psychology conference themed “Black Americana” held at the University of the Virgin Islands in St. Thomas from April 25-26.

Lincoln professor James C. Wadley founded the conference’s host organization, the Association of Black Sexologists and Clinicians.  Wadley, director of the Master of Human Services program and chairman of the Department of Counseling and Human Services, will moderate the conference discussions.

Bucks County Links offer Lincoln scholarship support and explore partnership

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – As part of a renewed Lincoln effort to encourage more support from community and civic organizations, the Bucks County chapter of The Links, Inc. contributed $3,000 toward student scholarships and are exploring ways to partner with the nation’s first degree-granting Historically Black College and University (HBCU).
