LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Master’s in Educational Leadership program at Lincoln University was ranked among Top Masters in Education’s 2015-2016 best value ranking of the top 50 list of residential Master’s in Educational Leadership programs in the United States this week.

Top Masters in Education, a resource for educators looking to enhance their own educational foundation, released its first top 50 list, which evaluates schools and programs based on publicly available information about accreditation, academic quality, student satisfaction, reputation in the field and cost.   The online resource also provides education students with news and stories on the state of the education field and career advice from knowledgeable and experienced educators.

“While our current ranking makes us keenly aware of our competitors, we are also encouraged to continue to make strides toward program enhancements and improvements,” said Patricia A. Joseph, Ph.D., dean of the College of Professional, Graduate & Extended Studies, which oversees graduate programs.

Lincoln’s program, which is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and based at its University City campus in Philadelphia, ranked #45. The 39-credit hour program enables the student to maintain their busy lifestyle while earning a degree that will give them the skills to become exemplary school administrators. Courses focus on finance, school law, and curriculum building. Tuition is $25,300.

Another Historically Black College & University (HBCU), Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi, tops the list.

“We believe this list offers a great starting point for students seeking an accredited, affordable, top-quality program that suits their needs,” said Hugo Saucedo, lead editor, who determined which were the lowest priced, highest quality, regionally-accredited residential M.Ed. programs.
