LINCOLN UNIVERSITY SETS EXCITING HOMECOMING SCHEDULE

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA ~ The coronation of Mr. and Miss Lincoln University on Sunday, October 21 at 7 p.m. in Manuel Rivero Hall begins a week-long schedule of activities to celebrate Homecoming 2007 at Lincoln University.

The crowns will be passed to junior Milan Carter, Mr. Lincoln, and senior Tiffany Terry, Miss Lincoln. The coronation is free and open to the public.

Several events are planned during the week, leading up to a busy Saturday schedule that starts at 9 a.m. with the Alumni Association Executive Council meeting in Vail Hall.  The President’s Contributors Awards Luncheon fallows at 11:30 a.m. in the Auxiliary Gymnasium of Manuel Rivero Hall.

The Homecoming parade begins at noon and will be followed by two athletic contests. The first will be a women’s soccer match between the Lady Lions and Concordia University at 1 p.m. at the soccer field.

The second will give individuals an early look at how the Lion football team is molding into form when the team plays in an intra squad scrimmage after completion of the soccer match.

The evening’s festivities also include a fashion show for alumni at 7:30 p.m. in the Thurgood Marshall Living and Learning Center.

The New School Concert for undergraduates and their guests will feature Jim Jones and T-Pain at 8 p.m. in Manuel Rivero Hall.

A gospel concert with Johnathan Nelson and Purpose on Sunday, Oct. 28 at 6 p.m. in Manuel Rivero Hall concludes the events.
