Agramonte, Jones combine for four hits in loss

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA – The Lincoln University baseball team opened a three-game series with Queens College Friday by falling to the Knights, 16-0, at Hennekens Stadium in Flushing, N.Y.

Queens opened the game with five runs in the bottom of the first, two more in the third and blew the game opened with an eight spot in the fourth.

Freshman Miquel Agramonte recorded his fourth multi-hit game of the season, going 2-for-3 with a walk, while sophomore Alex Jones (Bear Del./Appoquinimink) went 2-for-4. It was the fourth time Jones had a multi-hit outing. Four other players recorded hits as Lincoln tallied eight singles on the day.

Freshman Liam Palmer (Ford Island, Hawaii/Grassfield (Va.)), 0-2, allowed 10 earned runs on 11 hits with one walk.

Sophomore Josiah Lara (Plant City Fla./Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy), 1-2, and freshman Gabriel Sanchez (Anthony, N.M/Anthony), 2-4, are scheduled to start in Saturday's doubleheader. First pitch for the opener is scheduled for 1 p.m.
