Back-to-Back All-American honors for Butler

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa.  – The Butler did it, again.

For the second consecutive season, Glenn Butler, Jr. (Greenburgh, N.Y./White Plains) is an All-American. The senior long jumper placed fifth in the 2022 NCAA Division II Indoor Championships Friday at the Robert W. Plaster Center on the campus of Pittsburg State University.

He was also fifth in the 2021 championship when he became Lincoln's first Division II Track & Field All-American.

"It was great competition and Glenn always rises to the occasion," said Lincoln University Head Track & Field coach Roland Whiting. "It's exciting watching Glenn perform amongst the best and fit right in doing so. Although he fell short of the top spot, he gave it his best. Achieving All-American status for a second year in row, I am very proud of Glenn and his accomplishments."

He reached his top mark of 7.54 meters on his third jump. Butler was second after the first three jumps. He fouled on his final three jumps and three different jumpers surpassed his mark.
