The Lincoln University men's track and field team closed out their 2017 outdoor season on Sunday as two team members, Michael Brown (Norristown, Pa,/Norristown HS) and Eriq Royal (South Orange, NJ/Columbia High School) competed at the IC4A Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey.

Brown competed in two events on the day.  He opened with a solid 100 meter dash heat, winning it with a time of 10.84 seconds and placing 14th overall in the event after all five heats were completed.  Later in the day, Brown turned in a personal record time of 21.73 seconds for the 200 meter dash, again easily winning his heat.  His time placed him eighth overall, giving the Lions one team point for the competition. In both instances Brown was the top Division II finisher in a field of nearly all Division I runners.
