Butler headed back to indoor nationals

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. - Junior Glenn Butler is headed back to the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships.

For the second consecutive season Butler will be looking to earn back-to-back All-American honors in the long jump. Last season he became the first Lincoln University track & field student-athlete to earn NCAA Division II All-American honors, placing fifth.

"Glenn is a returning All-American and 2022 indoor conference champion, who is poised to continue his quest to become a national champion at this year's 2022 Indoor track & field nationals," said Lincoln University Head Track & Field Coach Roland Whiting. "Coach (Krystahl) Gordon has been doing a great job in preparing Glenn to perform at the highest levels. Making it to a national championship is no easy feat or guarantee. Glenn is a competitor, and I am excited to watch him compete well."

Butler enters the 2022 Indoor Championships fourth with a mark of 7.61 meters, set at the Gotham Cup in January.

The 2022 NCAA Division II Indoor championships will be held March 11 and 12 in Pittsburg, KS at the Robert W. Plaster Center.
