Former Lions Basketball Player DePina Signs Professional Contract

Former Lincoln University men's basketball player Antonio DePina (Wilmington, Del./Kutztown University) has signed his first professional contract to play basketball for Electrico FC in Portugal for the 2017-18 season.

DePina, a 6'4" guard from Wilmington, Delaware spent the last two seasons in a Lions uniform after transferring into the school from Kutztown University.  He appeared in 19 games for the Lions last season, starting four.  He averaged 2.6 points per game and 1.1 rebounds per game.  

The former Polytech High School athlete had his best season playing for the Lions in 2015-16, when he averaged 5.2 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.  DePina started 17 games, averaging 19.9 minutes per game and shot 51.9% from the field.  He scored a career high 13 points vs. St. Augustine's (1/9/16) and matched the total at Elizabeth City State (1/20/16).

Electrico FC recorded a 9-21 record in 2016-17
