Lincoln University of Pennsylvania Retains Diversified Search to Find New President

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA – Lincoln University, one of the most storied Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the nation, announced today that it has retained Philadelphia-based Diversified Search to find its next president. The announcement was made by Kimberly Lloyd, Chairlady of the Lincoln University Board of Trustees.

“We are excited to partner with Diversified Search as we seek the next visionary for this historic institution of higher learning,” said Ms. Lloyd. “The firm’s stellar track record in placing leaders who raise the bar for organizations they serve will bode well for Lincoln University.  We embrace the opportunity, with Trustee Terri Dean leading the Presidential Search Committee, to attract and hire a great president who will quicken the growth trajectory that Lincoln University is presently experiencing.”

Founded in 1854, Lincoln University is the nation’s first degree-granting Historically Black College and University (HBCU). Located in southern Chester County, Pennsylvania, the university is comprised of a student body of more than 2,000 men and women. It combines the elements of a liberal arts and sciences-based undergraduate curriculum with select graduate programs aimed at giving students the skills they need to succeed in a highly technological and global society.

“Lincoln University has a historical track record of producing distinguished leaders, from U.S. Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall to Harlem Renaissance poet Langston Hughes, just to name a few,” said Dale E. Jones, the CEO of Diversified Search, who will lead the search team for the new president. “The university's commitment to excellence in leadership is consistent with our mantra that ‘Great Leadership Changes Everything.’ This national search will be crucial for the next generation of young African-American leaders now in the pipeline awaiting greatness and success.”

The new president will assume their new duties from Dr. Richard Green, who has been serving as Lincoln’s interim president since July 2015. Dr. Green had most recently served as interim provost at St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

Managing Directors Kim M. Morrisson, Ph.D. and Euris Belle will be leading the search.  They may be reached at kim.morrisson@divsearch.com (215-656-3546) and euris.belle@divsearch.com (404-942-6307), respectively.

Diversified Search, one of the top ten executive search firms in the nation, is also the largest woman-owned and -founded firm in the country.
