Ernest (Ernie) Holiday, beloved member of the Class of '79, was a proud and devoted Lincoln alumnus who found his passion in educating and providing services to our youth. At the 2019 Alumni Awards Banquet, the lifelong educator and coach was posthumously awarded the Public Service Award. In honor of their beloved husband and father who passed away in December 2018, the Holiday family has established the Ernest Holiday, Jr. Endowed Scholarship. It will provide financial assistance for males from disadvantaged backgrounds in Philadelphia who want to attend Lincoln but cannot afford to do so.

The family welcomes all who knew Ernie and believe in the potential of our youth to help fully endow this $25,000 scholarship fund.

Lincoln University, the nation’s first degree-granting Historically Black College and University (HBCU), educates and empowers students to lead their communities and change the world. Lincoln offers a rigorous liberal arts education to a diverse student body of approximately 2,200 men and women in more than 35 undergraduate and graduate programs.
