Lions headed to Glenville with eight seed

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA - The Lincoln University women's basketball team is headed to Glenville, West Virginia. 

Despite having the seventh seed following the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association tournament victory, Lincoln fell to the eighth seed and will play nationally-ranked – and host – Glenville State Friday. The Lions are one of the 11 automatic qualifiers nationally to win the regular season and conference tournament. There are 23 automatic qualifiers in the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball tournament. (BRACKET)

The one team that vaulted Lincoln in the rankings, Charleston, lost to the Lions at home, 73-68. The Cougars, who were not ranked in the final rankings, jumped to sixth on the strength of winning its conference tournament. 

Lincoln was the lone CIAA team to earn a berth into the tournament, while the Mountain East Conference got two berths and the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference received the other five bids.

Times of the games will be released Monday or Tuesday.
