Lions Place Ninth and Millersville Metrics Invitational

The Lincoln University men's track and field team turned in another solid performance at Saturday's Millersville Metric Invite, as they notched eight top ten finishes en route to a ninth place finish.
 
The Lions scored a total of 39 points to place ninth amongst the 22 teams competing. Georgian Court University, a division II school from Lakewood, New Jersey was the top men's team with 117 points.
 
Sprinter Michael Brown (Norristown, Pa,/Norristown HS) again led the way for Lincoln, winning the 100-meter dash and anchoring the Lions 4 x 100 meter relay team to a first place finish with a season best time of 43.31 seconds.  In the 100 meter dash, Brown won his heat and earned the first place overall finish with a time of 11.11 seconds.  The senior sprinter also took home a second place finish in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.41 seconds.  Brown currently ranks sixth amongst all Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Outdoor sprinters in both sprint events.  The Lions 4 x 100 relay team has the fourth fastest time amongst the CIAA schools so far this season.
