Lions Record Eleven Personal-Best Marks at CIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships

The Lincoln University women's indoor track and field team recorded 11 personal best efforts as they placed eighth at the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Indoor Track and Field Championships on Monday at JDL Fasttrack in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Five of the personal best marks came in the pentathlon where Kayla Tisdale (Richmond, Va./Cosby) recorded a fifth place finish in the event.

The Lions finished the meet with 12 points, ten points behind seventh place Virginia Union University.  St. Augustine's won the event for the third time in six years with 162 points.

In the pentathlon competition, Tisdale recorded 2667 points for a fifth place finish.  The CIAA women's field MVP Magaly Tshipopo won the event with 3,508 points.  Tisdale's 2667 points is a personal best and also the highest pentathlon total for a Lincoln athlete in the school's NCAA Division II era.
