Love Conquers the Jumps as Lions Place Second at Collegeville Classic

Aasante Love won both high jump and long jump competitions as the Lincoln University women's indoor track and field team finished in second place at Saturday's Collegeville Classic at the Floy Lewis Bakes Center on the campus of Ursinus College.
 
The Lions finished with 68 points, trailing only Haverford College who finished with 77. A total of 20 teams competed in the meet.  Lincoln recorded 12 top ten finishes and there were a total of 11 personal best marks set at the meet.
 
Love had two of the three first place finishes recorded by the Lions.  She opened her day by recording an indoor personal best in the high jump, clearing the bar at 1.50 meters (4'11").  Following her performance in the high jump, Love out-jumped the competition in the long jump event, again recording an indoor personal best with a leap of 5.20 meters (17'¾"). The junior track athlete finished her day running the second leg on the Lions' 4 x 400 meter relay team that finished third in the event.
