Personal Records and Season Bests Highlight Lady Lions Performance at DeSchriver Invitational

Six season best performances and three indoor personal records highlighted the Lincoln University women's indoor track and field team's performance at the  DeSchriver Invitational held at East Stroudsburg University on Sunday.

The meet featured teams from 17 different schools with NCAA Division II, Division III and community colleges represented as well as three eastern area track clubs.

Adia Berkel (Wilmington, Del./Brandywine HS) recorded indoor personal records in both the 200-meter and 400-meter dash events as well as running the opening leg on Lincoln's 4 x 400-meter relay team.  Berkel finished third in the 200-meter dash with an indoor personal best time of 26.89 seconds and was 11th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:02.66.  Her opening leg in the 4 x 400 was 1:02.73 setting the pace for the Lady Lions season best time of 4:06.04 and a third place finish in the event. Genae Butler (Baltimore, Md./Western HS), Joelle Polk (Philadelphia, Pa./Central HS) and Bianca Kennedy (Hamden, Conn./Hamden HS) ran the other three legs of the relay event.
