Arianna Polk (Philadelphia, PA/Central HS) ran a personal best time of 19:49.55 to finish in eighth place overall at the 2016 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Cross Country Championships at Joseph Bryan Park in Richmond, Virginia Thursday morning,  earning all-conference honors in the process.

It's the first such honor for Polk, a second-year runner from Central High School in Philadelphia.  Her efforts along with personal-best times from each of her teammates, led the Lions to a sixth place team finish with 149 points at this year's championship.  Winston-Salem State won the team title, placing five runners on the All-CIAA team to finish with 27 points.
