Somerville signs with Women's Basketball

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA - Lincoln University head women's basketball coach Darrell Mosley announces his first signee for the upcoming 2021-22 season.

DEAISJAH SOMERVILLE | SG | 5-9
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA | LAKE TAYLOR

NOTES: Helped lead Lake Taylor to a state championship.
COACHES COMMENTS: We are excited to add DeAisjah Somerville to the LU family. This was a huge pick up for us with many schools recruiting her. She is a Division I talent that will be a great player and have a great career at this level. She brings in great size and athleticism on the wings and can score the ball on many levels. Once she gets adjusted to the college level she can be even more explosive.

The Lions are coming off a record-setting season as they were ranked nationally for the first time in the program's Division II history and established a school record with 23 victories. Lincoln begins the 2020-21 campaign with four consecutive Division I opponents, starting 5 p.m November 25 at George Washington University.

Lincoln University, the nation’s first degree-granting Historically Black College and University (HBCU), educates and empowers students to lead their communities and change the world.
