Statement of Lincoln University Regarding On-Campus Shooting

At 3:33 a.m., an altercation occurred on the main campus of Lincoln University. Shots were fired and a bullet hit a van that was carrying individuals from Imperial Security, a private firm hired by Lincoln University for the homecoming festivities that occurred over the weekend.

A female officer was struck by a stray bullet and was transported to Christiana Hospital where she was treated and released.

Pennsylvania State Police are on campus assisting Lincoln University Police with their investigation. Lincoln University students are safe and were not involved in the incident.
