Lincoln University, Pa. – More than 65 Lincoln women attended the Women’s Center back-to-school Cupcake Social in the all-female residence, Hansberry Hall.

“We wanted an event that welcomed new students and served to reconnect with upperclassmen. It was a good opportunity to remind them of all the resources this campus has to offer in support women during their Lincoln journey,” said Rachel Manson, director of both the Women’s Center and Counseling Services.

The Women's Center, located in the lower level of Hansberry Hall, provides women health and wellness resources, self-improvement workshops, support groups and special programming. It is a safe space for women to find support, access educational programs and activities that empower women, and to develop leadership skills.

Freshmen twins Destini and Desanni Penn of Baltimore, Maryland, are two of the many students who attended the Women's Center Cupcake Social in Hansberry Hall on August 25, 2016.

The Women’s Center provides leadership development for women through internships on campus and with community organizations, as well as opportunities to attend conferences.  See the Flickr album here.

The next event is National RAINN (Rape, Abuse, & Incest, National Network) Day on September 15.
