About the College - College of Science and Technology

The overall mission of The College of Science and Technology is to develop in our students’ the acquired knowledge and skills to excel in the STEM disciplines: Nursing, Health Science, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Engineering science.

 

Each of our programs has been carefully crafted to grant our students the opportunity to enhance their critical thinking skills and independent learning skills.

 

We are committed to equipping our students with the necessary skill sets in the sciences to excel with a competitive edge in today's rapidly changing global technological environment. We offer pre-professional programs in Medicine, Engineering, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine, Nursing and Allied Health Professions. We also offer degrees in:

  • Engineering (Concentrations in Civil Engineering, Computer engineering, Material Science, Environmental engineering, and Electrical engineering)
  • Biochemistry & Molecular Biology,
  • Environmental Science

Most Programs offer students the opportunity to pursue a degree in either a Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA).  We also offer certificate programs in Cyber-security and Gaming. We are currently working on developing graduate programs in:

  • Computer Information Science
  • Biochemistry and Analytical Chemistry
  • Neuroscience
  • Bioinformatics
  • Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
  • Chemistry

We offer a small class sizes to enable our students to receive individualized instruction. The college provides supplemental instruction, which a program that focuses on peer tutoring and after class instruction.  We have scholarships and various grants that present students employment opportunities. Lincoln University's College of Science and Technology has partnered with neighboring High Schools to create a STEM bridge program. We deem our college as research intensive and we hold several research partnerships with Penn State University, University of Iowa, University of Pennsylvania, and University of Delaware graduate and medical school.

We also provide our students with the resources to augment their learning experience and professional development, which includes: seminars, workshops, participation in on-campus research, internships, and attendance at national scientific conferences.

Many of our current students are exemplary role models of success in academic, athletic, leadership, and service endeavors. Our students are members of academic honorary societies, including Beta Beta Beta in biology, the American Chemical Society, Sigma Pi Sigma Physics Honors Society, Pre-Med Club, and National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers.
