More than 500 graduates were granted degrees during the 153rd Commencement at Lincoln University on Sunday. National award-winning journalist Roland S. Martin (left), the commencement speaker, challenged graduates to go forward from Lincoln University with no fear.
The Home Depot® , the world’s largest home improvement retailer, today announced the 2012 winners of its popular RETOOL YOUR SCHOOL Campus Improvement Grant Program. Now in its third year, this initiative was designed to specifically reinvigorate Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). This year’s program included the addition of two new awards.
Lincoln University is pleased to announce a $2,500 contribution from the Lincoln University chapter of the American Association of University Professors (LUC-AAUP). The contribution was presented to Lincoln University President, Dr. Robert R. Jennings, by chapter president Dr. Robert E.

Commencement will be held outdoors on Sunday, May 6, 2012. The Baccalaureate Service is held at the International Cultural Center at 10:00 a.m. and is approximately one hour in length. The Commencement Ceremony will be held at the LLC “The U” Lawn Area. The procession will begin promptly at 1:00 p.m. The Ceremony begins at 1:30 p.m. and is approximately 2 hours in length.

Lincoln University – Lincoln University President Robert R. Jennings has announced that the following individuals will receive honorary degrees at the 153rd Commencement exercise on Sunday, May 6 at 1:30 pm: Frank Carlos Gihan a 1972 Lincoln alumnus and former Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Clarence B. Jones, Esq., former personal counsel to Dr. Martin Luther King and Dr. Violet J. Plantz (posthumously) Lincoln University Master of Human Services Professor.
