First Annual Lions Awards Honors Celebrities, Lincoln Alumni, University Supporters and Others

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA – Baseball legend and philanthropists Hank and Billye Aaron, singer and songwriter, LEDISI, Queen of Gospel Music Pastor Shirley Caesar and Aramark Board Chairman Joseph Neubauer will be among those honored Sunday, Sept. 23 at 6 p.m. at Lincoln University of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s First Annual Lion’s Awards Program at the prestigious Union League Governor’s Ballroom in Philadelphia.

Dr. Robert R. Jennings to be inaugurated as Lincoln’s 13th President

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett to participate  

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY , PA – Dr. Robert R. Jennings will be inaugurated as Lincoln University of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s 13th president at a formal ceremony at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22 in the International Cultural Center (ICC) on campus.  Governor Tom Corbett is scheduled to participate.

Webb Appointed Interim Director of PR and Communications

Lincoln University has announced the appointment of Eric Christopher Webb, a 1991 graduate of the University as Interim Director of Public Relations and Communications.  Webb replaces Scott Miller who joined the University in April but had to return to Arizona due to family matters.

Professor of Music Charles Pettaway’s lecture The Black Mozart, Joseph Boulogna Chavalier de Saint-Georges was aired on PCN-TV (Pennsylvania Cable Network) as an episode of the award-winning arts and culture program Humanities on the Road on August 23.

Lincoln University AthleticsCLEVELAND, Ohio – Nine student-athletes from Lincoln University are among the 4,492 recipients of the 2011-12 Division 2 Athletics Association (D2ADA) Academic Achievement Award.

The Academic Achievement Awards is a program which highlights the academic accomplishments of D2 student-athletes.

Lincoln University Music Professor Shines at Juilliard

Assistant Professor of Music Christine LimbAssistant Professor of Music Christine Limb recently participated in the Conducting Workshop for Music Educators: Inspiring Artistry in Music Education held at the Juilliard School of Music in New York City. Dr. Limb was one of 40 conductors selected from an international pool of several hundred applicants.
