2013 CIAA/Food Lion/Coca Cola Scholarship Essay Contest

Students enrolled at CIAA member institutions are encouraged to enter the 2013 CIAA/Food Lion/Coke Scholarship Essay Contest for up to $35,000 in scholarship grants.

From January 28 – February 9, 2013, students should write and submit a 500-700 word essay around these topics: (1)Why I chose my CIAA school? and (2) What does attending a CIAA school mean to my community?

NCAA Division II Recognizes Lincoln Athletics For High Graduation Rate

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA – Lincoln University’s athletics program is among 24 others in the NCAA’s Division II recognized at its national conference in January for its first Presidents’ Award for Academic Excellence which highlights institutions who graduate the highest percentage of its student athletes.

FIRE AT UNOCCUPIED, NON-STUDENT RESIDENCE STILL UNDER RENOVATION

fireLINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA – Firefighters from at least six companies, including Oxford, Avondale, West Grove, Rising Sun, Quarryville and Cochranville, responded to a fire at an unoccupied, Lincoln University non-student residence at 7:55 a.m. this morning.

Fire officials assess damages after this morning’s fire at the unoccupied, non-student residence, which had been under renovation.

Diverse Issues In Higher Education Magazine Features President Jennings’ article on ‘Sustaining The Future of HBCUs’

Lincoln University President Dr. Robert R. Jennings’s article on “Sustaining The Future of HBCUs” was featured In today’s online version of Diverse Issues in Higher Education Magazine.

As the president of the nation’s first degree-granting Historically Black College and University, Dr. Jennings outlined the challenges he and other leaders of HBCUs face to ensure their continued viability and stability.

If you have ANY holds on your record – financial, advisor, other – that prevented your registration prior to winter break; OR if you simply have not registered . . .

DO NOT REPORT TO CAMPUS ON Sunday, 06 January 2013.

The appropriate offices through which to clear your holds and/or to register will NOT be open.  You will not be allowed in residence halls. Residence Advisors will not allow admittance to the buildings.

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY CLOSES FOR WINTER BREAK

Lincoln University will be closed from Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012 through Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 for Winter Break.  The campus and all offices will reopen, Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013.

President Jennings Expresses Gratitude To Faculty, Staff & Students For Toy Drive Effort

Let me express my thanks and appreciation to all of you who attended the Faculty and Staff Christmas Cheer on Friday evening.  More so, let me thank you and our students for more than 500 toys that we presented to the Neighborhood Services Center of Oxford.

Because of you, some child will be so much happier this Christmas.
