Come to the Writing and Reading Center Workshop on "Thesis Statements and Topic Sentences".  

You will learn: 

• How to write clear thesis statements and topic sentences
• Understand what kind of paper you are writing: analytical, expository, or argumentative and how to write a thesis statement for each
• Learn to create a concise and clear topic sentence that identifies the main idea of a paragrapH
