  • Sunday, May 15, 2022
    • The location is at the top of the "U"
    • Processional begins at 10:30 am from the Arch
    • The ceremony starts at 11 am
    • All guests should be seated no later than 10:30 am

Tickets

  • Not required for the outdoor ceremony.
  • Tickets will be required if the Rain Plan is invoked.
    • The number of rain tickets is 6 total - 2 for the main ceremony in Manuel Rivero Hall and 4 for other viewing locations
    • See the rain plan below.

  ADA / Handicap Parking
  • Guests that utilize handicap spaces must have a handicap tag
  • Parking lots P & Q are our primary handicap parking areas (LLC Guest Quarters and Outdoor Basketball Court) - 40 spaces total 
  • In addition to this, there will be handicap parking within parking lot N (the first 3 rows directly in front of Manuel Rivero Gym) - 75 spaces total 
  • Lastly, there will be handicap parking within parking lot M (the first 3 rows of the ICC parking lot) - 35 spaces
  • Signage will be posted

  + Rain Plan

In the event of inclement weather the 2022 Commencement Ceremony will be held within Manuel Rivero Hall's main gym. Each graduate will receive six tickets with unique coding. Two of these six tickets will grant admittance to Manuel Rivero Hall's main gym. The other four tickets will grant admittance to one of the following remote viewing locations:

  • ICC Auditorium
  • SUB Multipurpose Room
  • SUB Theater
  • Wellness Auditorium
  • Wellness Dining Room
  • Ware Theater
  • Dickey Hall Auditorium

Graduating Students will begin to receive their rain tickets via Lincoln email starting, Wednesday, May 11.

Please be advised, students will have to be academically and financially cleared to walk during an outdoor or indoor ceremony and receive rain tickets.

  + Cap and Gown

Cap and Gown

It is time to order your academic regalia—cap and gown—for Commencement. We are working directly with an external vendor, Herff Jones. Cap and Gown distribution will start on April 7, 2022 at Senior Salute (10 am to 4 pm). This is for main campus students only. If you are a SACE student be sure your information is accurate with SACE Student Services. 

  • Who is Eligible: May 2022 candidates and August/December 2021 graduates 
  • The campus store will be distributing caps/gowns for main campus students only.  SACE students should contact Ms. Lea at the University City location for caps/gowns.
  • This is the regalia that is required to be worn to participate. Please take care not to lose it, as there will be a fee for replacement regalia.
  • ​Cost: Free, as it is already included in your graduation fee.
